The PCC has joined up with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to create a temporary Community Engagement Team Support Officer post through its highly-successful Kickstart Scheme.

The Kickstart Scheme is a new programme run by the government which aims to create hundreds of thousands of high-quality, six-month work placements for young people aged between 16-24 who are in receipt of Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Each placement includes a salary and aims to develop the young person’s skills and experience to help them find work in the long-term after completing the scheme.

The PCC's office has a vacancy for a Community Engagement Team Support Officer which is a support post to work alongside the Community Engagement and Partnerships team within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire.
