 Description:

Are you passionate about the reduction of Crime and Anti-social Behaviour?

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are currently seeking a Project Officer on a full time fixed-term basis (until September 2025).

As an experienced Project Officer, you will assist with implementing efficient and effective project delivery of Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour projects and interventions within the safer streets portfolio.

You will successfully create and manage the production of plans, identifying and tracking key tasks and milestones and undertake effective risk management. Providing regular updates and maintaining clear communication with the Programme Lead and stakeholders during the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage the effective and efficient local delivery of the Safer Streets Round 5 projects in collaboration with the VAWG Programme Lead, key stakeholders, and wider partnership.
  • To undertake research, analysis, evaluation, and review in line with the principles of project management and to identify business benefits to ensure these are realised as part of the plan and the delivery of the project’s interventions.
  • To create stage and project plans to track and monitor projects and workstreams on a daily basis to allow the effective management and co-ordination of tasks and key milestones to ensure that they are completed within given timescales to deliver intended outcomes.
  • To work across the partnership to ensure a collaborative approach to delivery, including ensuring those most affected by Neighbourhood Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour are consulted with during design, delivery and evaluation.

The must haves

  • To be educated to degree level in an associated subject OR equivalent OR demonstrate the ability to work to this level.
  • Hold a recognised project management qualification and/or applied knowledge of managing and delivering projects.
  • Have a clear understanding of successful project techniques from initiation through to delivery, outcomes and evaluation, using documents, plans and stage assessments.
  • Experience of research, analysis and interpreting numerical, geographical, verbal and written information and summarising key information to provide updates and reports.
