Description: |
The Office of the police and Crime Commissioner are looking for a Programme Lead, on a full-time fixed term basis (until Sept 2025) to provide leadership and co-ordination of the local Violence Against Women and Girls programme.
Keeping abreast of local and national developments in VAWG policy and practice and disseminate this internally and across the local partnership. You will design and successfully deliver the production of strategies, plans, documentation and the provision of guidance for the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide leadership of the local VAWG programme including drawing up and delivering on strategies and plans in collaboration with the project team and
- To design, implement and oversee the evaluation of projects and interventions aimed at preventing and reducing VAWG across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland including the Safer Streets 5 funding.
- To work across the partnership to ensure a collaborative approach including ensuring those most affected by VAWG are involved in design, delivery and evaluation.
The must haves
- To be educated to degree level or equivalent and/or demonstrate experience of working to this level.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Violence Against Women and Girls and associated harm, the drivers and root causes and effective prevention and reduction strategies
- Experience of developing and/or implementing multi-agency projects, including designing and implementing new initiatives and managing multiple workstreams within budget and required timescales.
- Significant experience of working in a partnership environment, including with communities, and a demonstrable ability to collaborate and influence others to work towards a common
