Are you looking for your next challenge?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the OPCC Violence Reduction Network Section; we are looking to recruit a VRN Programme Manager on a full time (37 hours), initially on a fixed Term basis until 31st March 2025 based at our Force Headquarters.

The Violence Reduction Network (VRN) is a wide alliance of groups, organisations and communities determined to prevent and reduce serious violence through tackling its root causes. The partnership is supported by a collaborative and ambitious multi-disciplinary team which is responsible for delivering the local strategy. We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Programme Manager to take a lead role in co-ordinating and delivering this ground-breaking programme of change.

The post holder will be responsible for translating the local Response Strategy into an annual programme plan and delivering all aspects of programme management as well as taking on lead responsibility for specific VRN projects. Experience within a relevant field such as criminal justice, local government or the voluntary and community sector is essential. This is a leadership position which requires an ability to think and act strategically, develop purposeful and effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and deliver at pace. If you are skilled at programme management and enjoy applying this to services and interventions which make a difference to children, young people and communities then this is the role for you.

The team operates a flexi policy together with a hybrid working pattern (minimum of 2 days a week in the office with other days split between home, office and community-based working as appropriate to role).

As part of your application, you must provide both a CV and Personal Suitability Statement, stating how you meet the essential/desirable criteria as listed in the job description and why you want to join our mission to prevent and reduce violence in our local area.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Grace Strong, Director via grace.strong@leics.pcc.police.uk Applicants can also find out more about the VRN here: https://www.violencereductionnetwork.co.uk/
