Public invited to observe how independent committee examines standards of Leicestershire Police and the PCC's Office

Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe an independent committee meeting on Friday (December 16) regarding the scrutiny of the behaviour, standards and integrity of Leicestershire Police.

The meeting of the Ethics, Integrity and Complaints Committee will include an annual report on the Committee’s Work. There will also be reports and discussions on the dip sampling of complaints.

The seven independently appointed members meet in public throughout the year, report on their findings and make recommendations for improvements. Lord Bach, who is not present for these meetings, said: “This Committee provides independent scrutiny of matters that include complaints from the public, performance, decision-making processes, leadership and culture.

“Members are committed to ensuring that the force and my Office work to the highest ethical standards and do so with transparency.”

Details of the meeting can be found HERE.

The meeting starts at 2pm in the main conference room at Police Headquarters in Enderby.  Due to the capacity of the room and for health and safety requirements all potential attendees are requested to notify Sue Walsh, Executive Support Manager, Leicestershire Police – email susan.walsh@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk.
