Community concerns discussed at Market Bosworth event

More than 30 residents from Hinckley and Bosworth discussed policing and community issues during the latest ‘What matters to you?’ event.

Held at Bosworth Hall Hotel on May 18, the event was held by Police and Crime Commissioner Sir Clive Loader, Leicestershire Police Chief Constable Simon Cole and Bill Cullen, Deputy Chief Executive for Community Direction at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

After introductions from the panel, the attendees were able to ask questions about issues which matter to them. Topics covered include police and community communication, ways to report crime, speeding and parking issues.

After the event one resident said: “The event was very informative and I hope to attend the next meeting.”

Another said: “It was a fair chance for us to vent our issues and concerns.”

The event was part of Sir Clive and the Chief Constable’s regular public engagement events.

Held every couple of months, this was the fifth event of its kind. Previous ones have been held in the city centre, Beaumont Leys, Coalville and Market Harborough.

The next event is due to take place in July. Further details will be announced shortly.
