Sir Clive hopes to return to work next week

Leicestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner Sir Clive Loader hopes to return to work as early as next week, following a period of ill-health leave.

Sir Clive, who announced to the Police and Crime Panel on 25 June his decision to take a period of ill-health leave with immediate effect, has since undergone medical treatment and will be receiving further treatment in the coming days.

At this stage the prognosis is good and, subject to continuing improvements, it is hoped that he will be able to begin a phased return to duties from as early as next week.
