Purchasing a Sens.ai headset to compliment their legacy-funded emotional-regulation-support interventions at Limehurst. Headset will provide biofeedback support and a 5-in-1 brain training system, so students can see and understand what is happening inside their brain.

Film Project: Knife Crime and the impact on friends, family & community in New Parks

Engaging with young people affected by the member of a young NP resident, developing a documentary film and accompanying resources to help young people avoid knife crime. Long term aim is for wider Leicestershire rollout, providing lived experience support to youth workers.

After-School Coding Club & Online Safety

Weekly after-school coding and online safety club for Y5&6 pupils during summer term. Using specialist staff & equipment, with places targeted at children in receipt of free school meals or pupil premium. Reduces unstructured time where students may disengage or make poor choices.

Powell Judo Academy

Powell Judo Academy will be a judo club for ages 6-16 ran by world champion Dan Powell. Funding will be used to purchase judo mats, and launch scholarships for young people in the new parks area.

Tree Survey – Scout hut & Woodland

Delivering a professional tree survey of Scout Hut grounds, assessing condition and safety of all trees on site, ensuring the area remains safe, allowing Whitwick Scout Group to continue delivering outdoor activities to young people

Group support sessions for women recovering from the trauma of abuse

Quetzal’s offer various support services to women recovering from the trauma of abuse. This funding will allow them to source and hire a private room, where qualified counsellors will work with local women 1-1, and also deliver a series of group sessions based around the psychoeducational model of trauma recovery.
