Medium Cost Intervention
Structured educational sessions designed to equip individuals - especially young people and vulnerable groups - with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to avoid, de-escalate, or respond to potentially dangerous situations in public spaces.
Typically covering situational awareness, risk recognition, conflict avoidance/de-escalation, self-defence techniques, legal rights and responsibilities, knife crime awareness, gang avoidance, emergency response and reporting.
Delivered in schools, youth clubs, community centres, and workplaces by trained facilitators, often including police officers, youth workers, or lived experience practitioners.
Workshop design & materials: £2,000-£5,000 (one time cost)
Facilitator fees: £300-£800 per session
Venue hire: £100-£300 (per day)
