The 2021-2022 approved revenue budget is £212.6m. This is funded by Home Office grants of £130.8m (61.5%) and precept of £81.8m (38.5%). The approved Band D precept is £248.23 which is an increase of £15.00 (6.43%) from 2020-2021. Approximately £206.9m (97.3%) of the approved budget is available to the Chief Constable to deliver policing services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The balance of £5.7m (2.7%) is allocated to the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner to support their office and commissioning intentions.
