The 2026-2027 approved revenue budget is £268.9m. Funding for policing comes from a combination of Central Government, Council Tax and grant income and for 2026-2027 the
Government provides 56% of the budget figure and 44% comes from
local taxpayers.
This means the amount of council tax a Band D property will pay towards policing will increase by 29p per week.
