Smart doors and window locks can also be used to deter Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Violence and Vulnerability, Business Crime and Rural Crime alongside tackling Neighbourhood Crime.
Smart locks are electronic security devices that replace or retrofit traditional locks, offering keyless entry via smartphone apps, PIN codes, biometrics, or RFID. They enhance home security by enabling remote access, real-time alerts, and integration with other smart systems.
These locks are increasingly used in residential burglary prevention strategies, particularly in areas with repeat victimisation or low physical security standards.
