Low Cost Interventions
A behaviour change campaign that empowers men to challenge misogyny and harassment among peers. It promoted emotional regulation, peer accountability, and active bystander strategies to prevent escalation and create safer communities.
It reduces tolerance for harmful behaviour, promotes emotional regulation/empathy, equips men with tools to intervene safely, shifts cultural norms around masculinity/violence, and builds safer public and social spaces for women and girls.
Already developed - just cost of re-running and getting physical assets re-distributed.

Research shows peer-led interventions are among the most effective in shifting harmful norms, with active bystanders reducing aggressions and harassment by up to 40% in young men by using 3 strategies - Be Direct, Get Help, and Distract.
Campaigns with an emotional literacy components show 25-30% reductions in harmful behaviours. Men involved in the campaign report greater confidence in recognising and responding to inappropriate behaviour. Aligns with the RESPECT Women Framework, which prioritises prevention through cultural change.
